Scouting – live and uncut!

My Cultural Evening

  • July 11, 2013 1:19 am

This is a night that is still remembered, to this day.

I’m sure the taste still lingers in your mouth, when you think back to it? Well it does in mine (!)

It was a simple, relaxed evening spent with great scouts.

 The theme was Indian Culture

There was a slide show followed by a 3 course Indian inspired menu.

I wore a traditional “Punjahbi” complete with a bindi.

The table was set and the scouts enjoyed the meal “Indian style” – no cutlery, no dinner plates – only banana leaves and fingers.

The meal was finished off with traditional sweet meats like burfi, gulabh jamboo and murghit.

To round it off we had a “pop” quiz and the last cooling and refreshing mango juice.

To wrap things up …… it was a HIT!
