Scouting – live and uncut!

My First Class Camp

  • July 11, 2013 1:22 am

It may not have been the greatest of camps but it was well worth it.

The camp took place on the 18th & 19th of May 2013. The 17th (Friday night) before camp we all did final prep and packing at the scout hall

Day of camp

We left shortly after 05:30 (am)*, in the morning. as “half zombies” we arrived at Highbrae camp site and started the day with an opening and flag break.

We built and had fun throughout. The pudding of day one was the best and so too was the night cap.

Day two

Rise and shine, nice and early, night I add. We hiked up the mountain shortly after breakfast.

The boys and I came back after having a “Scouts Own” on the very top and decided to let the kid inside us FREE

All round it was a good camp with plenty learning curves.

Thank you to all who attended and a special thank you to my mom and David, John’s dad (Cubs) for the early transportation.

It was great fun!
